Wilmington Termite Sentinel: Protecting Our Community
At Wilmington Termite Sentinel, we're not just another pest control company; we're your neighbors. Founded by Sarah Jenkins, Owner & Lead Exterminator, our roots run deep in Wilmington. Sarah started this business because she saw a real need for dedicated, local termite expertise right here in New Castle County. Having grown up exploring Brandywine Park and attending shows at the Grand Opera House, she understands the unique character of our city, from the historic homes in Forty Acres and Trolley Square to the newer developments near the Delaware Riverfront. Our approach is built on that local insight, knowing that the humid subtropical climate with its hot summers and cold winters creates ideal conditions for termites to thrive in homes across Downtown Wilmington, the East Side, and even down in Southbridge.
We specialize exclusively in termite control because we believe focus leads to mastery. This isn't a side gig for us; it's our passion and our profession. Sarah personally oversees much of the work, ensuring that every inspection and treatment is thorough and effective. We understand the specific challenges posed by the diverse housing stock in Wilmington – from the older brick row houses in Browntown to the charming Victorians in Highland. Our methods are tailored to protect these specific structures, preventing the kind of hidden damage that can compromise a home's integrity. We serve not just Wilmington, but also our neighbors in nearby cities like Newark and Claymont, bringing the same level of dedicated service to every property.

What Wilmington, DE Customers Say
“We had a scare with what looked like termites in our basement near the old stone foundation. Wilmington Termite Sentinel came out quickly, did a thorough inspection, and confirmed it was indeed termites. They explained the treatment process clearly, set up the bait stations around our property, and checked them regularly. We haven't seen any signs since, and the peace of mind is worth every penny.”
“We noticed some suspicious mud tubes in our garage wall and called Wilmington Termite Sentinel. They were very professional, identifying the extent of the infestation and recommending a targeted treatment. They applied a liquid barrier around the perimeter of our home and followed up to ensure the colony was eradicated. The team was respectful of our property and kept us informed throughout the process.”
“Living in an older home in Little Italy, I'm always concerned about pests. Wilmington Termite Sentinel did an annual inspection for us last spring and found evidence of subterranean termites in our crawl space before they caused major damage. They installed a bait system and monitored it diligently. Their proactive approach saved us a lot of potential headaches and expense down the road.”
